Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this certification.

To achieve your CCNA, you have the option of taking the CCNA Routing & Switching Composite exam or both the ICND1 and ICND2 exams. INE recommends going with option #2 - taking both the ICND1 and ICND2 exams. One advantage of going with option #2 is that you will achieve your CCENT certification once you pass the ICND1 exam, which is a huge milestone in your CCNA journey.

1. Prepare for the ICND1 exam

Review the following topics covered on the ICND1 exam and watch the correlating INE Training Videos:

-Network Fundamentals
-LAN Switching Fundamentals
-Routing Fundamentals
-Infrastructure Services
-Infrastructure Maintenance

You will automatically gain full access to INE's entire video library of 11,000+ training videos through the included All Access Pass with your CCNA Routing & Switching Bootcamp purchase. Our All Access Pass is also available to purchase separately here.

2. Rent time on our rack equipment to practice

INE offers rack rentals that support all of our self-paced and instructor-led product lines, including Routing & Switching, Data Center, Collaboration, Security, and Service Provider. In addition to 24-hour hardware support, INE rack rentals come with simplified scheduling and advanced management control and utilize the same hardware and software used in the actual lab exams.

All rack tokens you purchase are placed into your account, and you then draw from those tokens to rent time as-needed. The exact number of tokens needed will vary depending on your individual training goals, current experience level, and the type of rack you are renting. In general, our instructors advise planning for about 100 - 150 hours of total rack practice time for a CCNA certification. Currently, CCNA Routing & Switching Racks cost 3 Rack Rental Tokens per hour.

3. Practice with INE's ICND1 Lab Workbook

4. Take the ICND1 Practice Exam

This practice exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions based on the topics in the CCENT/CCNA ICND1 100-105 Exam Topics blueprint. These questions will test your knowledge across a broad spectrum of Routing & Switching technologies. Like the real exam, this practice exam is timed, and you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Once time has expired, the practice exam will end and you will be shown the results of your attempt. You will be able to review each question in the exam and compare your submitted answers to the correct ones. You may continue taking the exam after time expires. All questions are multiple choice, and some questions have multiple answers. Please read each question carefully.

You can take the ICND1 Practice Exam as many times as you want. We recommend you take this practice exam until you can score at least a 85%.
